WHAT'S ON YOUR PLAYLIST?
Music is an integral part of my day! I actually have a pretty eclectic taste but you'll find me most listing to artists like SZA, Summer Walker + Jhene Aiko.
FAVOURITE HOLIDAY DESTINATION?
Greece.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING WHEN YOU'RE NOT WORKING?
It's a bit of a blurred line for me, I don't look at my days as either work or leisure; I kind of just do life. When I'm not behind the camera or computer however I love going out for dinner, spending time with family (I have 13 nephews and nieces!), catching a film or having a boogie on the dance floor! I also have a profound love for energetics, neuroscience and spirituality ~ so I always make sure I weave these practices and learnings into my day.
FUN FACT:
I'm ambidextrous.

Meet Lou // Casting Director C.D.G
Lou is a British Casting Director with a wealth of experience across film, TV, theatre, and commercials. Her passion for media started young during a work experience week, at 15, where she got her first taste of the industry painting sets on the hilariously trashy British drama, 'Footballers’ Wives’. She later earned her degree in Film and Television from the University of the Arts London in 2012.
Her casting journey began when she scouted young talent for hit West End productions like Billy Elliot, Matilda, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. From there, she honed her skills working alongside world-renowned casting directors on major projects such as The Night Manager and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Lou has a passion for psychology and human behaviour and what makes humans tick. She loves to discover unique chemistry between actors and watch these dynamics play out on screen as they breath life into characters.
Lou is excited for her upcoming feature film, ‘Christmas Karma’, directed by Gurinder Chadha (Bend It Like Beckham), cast alongside Jina Jay, to be released in 2025 and stars an incredible lineup including Kunal Nayyar, Eva Longoria, Billy Porter, and Hugh Bonneville.
With experience casting across the globe, Lou is embracing the vibrant Australian industry. She’s loving working with amazing Aussie talent and such a gorgeous, creative and tech savvy team at Studio P.
Lou is a proud member of the Casting Directors Guild UK.
